Annual Meeting

2021 Virtual Exposition and Conference

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Louisiana Education Research Association (LERA) will hold a virtual exposition in lieu of our traditional in-person annual spring meeting. The 2021 LERA Virtual Exposition will begin in early March and will feature research and other efforts of the association’s members and associated academic institutions. All presentations in the Virtual Exposition will take place asynchronously. The Virtual Exposition will include a virtual business meeting to be held via Zoom.

Conference Award Papers Information
Each year, two awards are given as part of the annual conference: The Rayma Harchar Outstanding Research Paper Award and the LERA Outstanding Graduate Student Research Paper Award. Selection is based on the quality of the written paper, and criteria for judging will be made available upon notification of acceptance of the proposal.
The recipient of the Rayma Harchar Outstanding Research Paper Award will have their paper published in Research Issues in Contemporary Research (RICE) and will be invited to present their paper at the following year’s Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). The recipient also will receive reimbursement up to a maximum of $500 to support travel to AERA.
Any paper whose principal author is a current graduate student or a student who completed a thesis or dissertation in 2020 that was submitted in partial fulfillment of degree requirements at a college or university in Louisiana will be eligible for the LERA Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award.
